    and need not fear the wild animals.^(H)
23 For you will have a covenant^(I) with the stones^(J) of the field,
    and the wild animals will be at peace with you.^(K)
24 You will know that your tent is secure;^(L)
    you will take stock of your property and find nothing missing.^(M)
25 You will know that your children will be many,^(N)
    and your descendants like the grass of the earth.^(O)

¹¹ Terrors^(A) startle him on every side^(B)
    and dog^(C) his every step.

²⁴ But since you refuse^(A) to listen when I call^(B)
    and no one pays attention^(C) when I stretch out my hand,
²⁵ since you disregard all my advice
    and do not accept my rebuke,
²⁶ I in turn will laugh^(D) when disaster^(E) strikes you;
    I will mock^(F) when calamity overtakes you^(G)—
²⁷ when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
    when disaster^(H) sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
    when distress and trouble overwhelm you.

²⁴ What the wicked dread^(A) will overtake them;^(B)
    what the righteous desire will be granted.^(C)
